Photoetry? On the bursting joy of the dawn in winter

February 4, 2011

Bursting Joy, originally uploaded by creativeisthmus.

As promised: the first of what will hopefully be a series of photography, poetry combinations.

I’ve placed a larger version of this below (easier to read). This photo is from the sky in my area and the poem is in honor the dawn. A dawn like today, filled with glorious sunlight drenching the clouds in wonder and arriving at a time just early enough to give evidence to the burgeoning change of seasons. Even though the ground is still blanketed with snow, the subtle advance of daylight is a definite cause for celebration!
