Some final snow for the last vestiges of winter!

March 28, 2011

As spring draws ever closer to us, even in the colder climates of the north, I’d like to take this opportunity to showcase some of the last photographs I took of our winter snow and light.  I am glad to see the snow begin to melt (hint hint Mother Nature!) and want to share these before our regularly scheduled winter precipitation turns into a dreaded “four-letter-word” and I become vehemently opposed to even peaking at my albums of snowy landscapes.

One thing I must say though, in appreciation of the snow, is that it creates a wonderfully reflective surface across which the play of light and shadow can be very striking and even the colors of the sunrise and sunset can be beautifully reflected.

I hope you too are enjoying the beginning of spring!
